Alicia Harris, DVM graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Graduation was followed by an internship at the Animal Emergency Center in Glendale, WI. Her valuable work experience includes working at various veterinary emergency and referral centers in the Midwest. Working as an emergency veterinarian has allowed her to gain a tremendous amount of experience helping families make end-of-life decisions about their beloved pets. Her entire life has been shaped by her passion for animals and the bond we share with them. She loves photography and traveling. Her free time is spent with her family and their scrappy cat, Frankie and Border Collie mix, Zora. She has a special message for you here.

Todd Duffy, DVM, DACVECC graduated from University of Illinois – College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Graduation was followed by an internship and an Emergency and Critical Care residency at the Animal Emergency Center in Glendale, WI. Working as a Critical Care Specialist in various veterinary intensive care units across the country has given him a unique insight on the decisions related to euthanasia. He is a distinguished speaker at various veterinary conferences throughout the United States and is also on the review board for the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Currently, he is the midwestern Medical Science Liaison for Elanco. Compassionate Heart has proudly partnered with him as a consultant for family veterinarians.
